Give New Life (Mano de Ayuda)

Name: Give New Life (Formerly Mano de Ayuda)

Location: Michoacán, Mexico

Mission: Give New Life, a place of love, faith and hope. Josue and Karla Cook, current directors of the orphanage, have dedicated their lives to rescuing children at risk in the Michoacan, Mexico area. Give New Life, gives a new opportunity, a new life and family to boys and girls that have been abused, abandoned, mistreated and forgotten. Give New Life wants to serve anyone who is helpless and abandoned.

Founded in 1977 by Pastor John Cook, founder and director of “Hand of Help”, initial name of the orphanage, whom during his lifetime had personally tended more than a million people that had come to his clinic every Sunday from different parts of Mexico, all completely for free. 40.000 of these people have received surgeries which they could never have afforded. Pastor Cook lovingly did this till the day that the Lord called him to His Presence.

The kids not only have a refuge, but they are accepted into this new family, currently 28 kids, where through the love of Jesus they receive help to overcome the traumas and the physical and emotional wounds which they bring from their past. The kids receive solid foundations, and even in the small details they are taught to do everything with excellence, to do things with love and for God. They are provided education, health and the love they never had before.
